The couple only met in September when Miss Minogue made a cameo appearance on the US TV series Galavant, in which Sasse plays the lead. Their relationship quickly blossomed. In December Miss Minogue broke down in tears on Radio 4's Desert Island Discs after she let Sasse - the father of a two-year-old boy - choose one of her 'castaway' tracks.
He picked a recording of himself reading a love poem, As I Look Up, which was later revealed to have been written by his father Dominic, who died in a plane crash when Joshua was just four.
Last month Miss Minogue also revealed that since meeting her new love, she had cancelled plans to spend this year travelling around the world on her own.
The singer has had her fair share of heartbreak over the years. She dated Neighbours co-star Jason Donovan during her run on the show, then rocker Michael Hutchence for two years until 1991.
She went on to have a relationship with Olivier Martinez from 2003 to 2007. She then had a relationship with model Andres Velencoso from 2008 to 2013.
When asked if the pair were engaged, Miss Minogue's spokesman declined to comment.
