Lindsay Lohan's flailing career has taken another hit - her latest movie release is a huge flop.

The embattled actress, who was sentenced to serve 90 days in lockdown rehab on March 18 after a Los Angeles judge ruled she had violated her probation by lying to police about a car crash in 2012, has struggled to get her film career back on track.

Amid her legal and financial woes in recent years she now she has another unintentional disaster on her resume.

InAPPropriate Comedy has become one of the worst box office debuts in the US ever.

The movie, which stars Adrien Brody and Rob Schneider has made just $US172,000 ($NZ206,000) at 275 cinemas since it opened on Friday, March 22, according to Entertainment Weekly.
