New Zealand actress Anna Paquin has missed out on a second successive Golden Globe for best actress in a television series (drama).
Paquin was nominated for her role as Sookie Stackhouse in HBO vampire drama True Blood - which she won the Globe for last year.
The award at the 67th Globes ceremony held in Beverly Hills today (NZ time) went to Julianna Marguiles for her role in The Good Wife.
True Blood was also nominated for best television series (drama), but missed out to Mad Men.
The 3-D film Avatar, filmed in New Zealand with special effects by Weta Digital, claimed best film (drama) and best director for Titanic filmmaker James Cameron.
