Hip-hop stars Savage and Scribe are to perform at an all-star benefit concert to help raise money for tsunami-devastated Samoa.

The artists, personally affected by the disaster that struck on September 28 and killed more than 180 people, have organised a dream line-up of top New Zealand musicians to perform at the concert - called I Love the Islands - at Auckland's Vector Arena on October 19.

The concert, hosted by personality Oscar Kightley, will feature top musicians who are all contributing their performances for free.

All proceeds from the concert will also be donated to help with the clean-up effort in Samoa.

Artists scheduled to perform at the concert include: Neil Finn and Tim Finn, Dave Dobbyn, Bic Runga, Savage, Scribe, Hollie Smith, Elemeno P, Nesian Mystik, Jordan Luck Band, J Williams, Che-Fu and Kratez, Open Souls, Kirsten Morrell, Sweet & Irie, DJ Sirvere, Aaradhna, PNC, Devolo, Mareko, King Kapisi, Feelstyle, Adeaze, Cydel, Ardijah and Lapi Mariner

Similar concerts will also be held in Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin, with line-up details yet to be confirmed.
