Out of the ashes of garage rockers the D4, comes new band Luger Boa, fronted by guitarist Jimmy Christmas.
Since his former band split up in 2006, Christmas has been writing new songs, including first single 1000 Hooks which you can check out at myspace.com/lugerboa.
He'salso come up with a brand new band. They play at the Kings Arms on Saturday and support Shihad on a nationwide tour in July.
Also, out of the ashes of Th' Dudes and following a starring role in Dancing With the Stars, Peter Urlich is bringing back the dine and dance phenomenon to New Zealand.
To celebrate the release of his new album Between You & Me, which came out this week, Urlich has got together a swing band to perform in a dine and dance setting at the Langham Hotel's Rangitoto Ballroom in Auckland, on July 3. Tickets on sale from Ticketek.
