A spokesperson said they wanted to give viewers more choice in the way a story unfolded.
"The objective has been to bring something completely new to Netflix that pushes the boundaries of storytelling and the way viewers engage with it."
Viewers can use their television remote control to pick which plot path they want to choose.
The first show, Puss in Book, is an animated fairytale that follows the main character into a magical world, and comes with 13 choices to make, which leads to one of two different endings.
Those choices also dictate how long the show lasts, with Puss in Book estimated to take anywhere between 18 minutes to 39 minutes to view.
Buddy Thunderstruck: The Maybe Pile debuts on July 14, and it includes eight choices and four endings.
A third show, Stretch Armstrong: The Breakout, is scheduled for release next year.
