Netflix has announced the release date for the highly-anticipated second season of its controversial hit show 13 Reasons Why.
It will launch on May 18, picking up the story in the aftermath of Hannah's death as the characters try to heal and move on.
Season one followed Clay as heuncovered the 13 reasons his friend Hannah Baker took her life, as detailed in a series of tape recordings she left behind.
This season will see Hannah's high school prepare to go on trial, and one person who will stop at nothing to keep the truth about Hannah's death a secret.
The series has been slammed by viewers and mental health professionals who claim the series glorifies suicide, gratuitously depicts sexual violence and does not properly address mental health - all without any warnings ahead of the episodes.
In response, Netflix has announced it will add new resources on 13ReasonsWhy.info, as well as a warning video that will play ahead of the episodes online.
