Some surprising stats have been revealed in a new survey that asked Kiwi pet owners how much TV they watch with their pets.
Turns out we love TV binges with our pets so much, 21 per cent of us talk to them about whatever we just watched.
Think that's crazy? Some of us - 11 per cent - have even been known to turn off a particular show because our pets didn't seem to be into it.
These are just some of the more outrageous findings in a survey released by Netflix today, in celebration of International Pet Day which takes place tomorrow.

According to the survey, which is based on more than 50,000 responses, 48 per cent of Kiwis think their pets are the best binge partners.
It helps that they can't change the show or tell us spoilers, but they also provide the support we need; 30 per cent of Kiwis have turned to their pets for comfort during a sad or scary scene and 21 per cent say they have talked to their pet about the show or movie they were watching.
And it's not just our comfort at stake either. 48 per cent of respondents say they've moved seats so their pet would be more comfortable and 15 per cent have bribed their pets with treats to stay with them on the couch longer.

Netflix even went the extra mile to figure out what people were watching with their furry pals: Dog owners prefer action and adventure like Marvel's Daredevil, while cat owners go for comedies like Orange is the New Black. And of course the one show that unites everyone is Starnger Things.
