Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber are teaching their children the art of giving back this Christmas.
The Hollywood couple are instilling how important it is to be empathetic towards others in their two sons, Alexander, six, and five-year-old Samuel.
The two young boys have learned about what it means tobe homeless, and what they can do to help.
"This time of year, now that I have two small kids, finding ways to teach them about generosity and compassion and what this season is in any faith, are great opportunities for us," Schreiber told America's OK! Magazine.
"We (he and Naomi) got to go to ABC, which does terrific work for children and we got to bring the boys along. They got to play with these kids for two hours, which was amazing."
Australian actress Watts and Schreiber have been together for eight years.
Despite their children's young age, proud father Schreiber says they were eager to learn.
"It's not a charitable age, but they like playing, and they like learning. To bring them uptown and try to explain to them what homelessness is, it's good stuff.
