KEY POINTS:
Local TV presenters are on the move. Phil Bostwick has joined the C4 team, replacing Clarke Gayford, who left to front Prime's Getaway.
Bostwick, 27, has fronted several shows, including Space with Jacqui Brown in 2002.
In August last year he lasted less than a week co-hosting FullTank on MTV, pulling out for personal reasons.
In his new role he will co-host Special Features with Jane Yee. He starts next month.
Sky 1's new reality show The Cheerleaders starts next Thursday. In what sounds like Cheerleader Idol, the show will follow the wannabes from auditions to the gruelling training sessions and their first performance at Mt Smart, (this Saturday's Warriors v Eels game, 7.30pm).
Celebrity judges include Stacey Morrison (nee Daniels) and Sky TV's Stephen McIvor.
Meanwhile, Moon TV returns to TV2 for the comedy series' fourth season.
It's the brainchild of Leigh Hart, That Guy from Sports Cafe, whose oddball humour will also get an airing in the US.
A network has bought the rights to screen segments of Moon TV on a prime-time sketch comedy show this year.
US TV company Room 403 Productions, who are making the show, cannot disclose its name or the network it will screen on, but say Hart's Speed Cooking segment is being considered for the food section.
Stacia Dyess of Room 403 Productions said, "We love Speed Cooking for its quick pace, playful tone and the physical nature of the humour."
The story is yet another example of the power of YouTube, which first drew the production company's attention to Hart and Moon TV.
The Speed Cooking video on YouTube has had more than 120,000 hits and is the second most downloaded New Zealand video on the site after an All Black haka. The latest season of Moon TV will debut at 10.30pm on Tuesday, March 27.
Speedo Cops will return, and new segments include one based on Dragons' Den.
