Madame Tussauds Hollywood unveiled today GRAMMY winning singer-songwriter, Lorde. Lorde was an enthusiastic participant in the creation of her first wax figure, spending time with a team of Madame Tussauds studio artists who took over 200 precise measurements to ensure the figure fully captured her style, eye color, posture, signature hair and more. Lorde’s figure dons a Stella McCartney inspired suit similar to the look she wore to the 2015 Golden Globes.
The curly hair, the stern pose, that intense look directly into the camera: it's definitely Lorde - but is it?
The Kiwi pop star's official Madame Tussauds Hollywood waxwork figure has been unveiled today - and the super intense wax statue was made with Lorde's blessing.
Lorde was "an enthusiasticparticipant" in the creation of her waxwork figure, the company said.
She spent time with a team of artists who took more than 200 measurements to fully capture "her style, eye colour, posture, signature hair and more".
On Twitter, Lorde said her figure was going on display from today, and said its creation was an "incredibly detailed process".
Lorde's wax figure will be included among more than 120 realistic waxworks at Madame Tussauds Hollywood, including Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Johnny Depp and Will Smith.
Reaction on Twitter was overwhelmingly positive, with many saying it was one of the most realistic wax figures they'd seen. The only question mark seemed to be over whether she was too tan.
