"So many people have to deal with long-distance relationships," she told Elle magazine of the song earlier this year. "It's not easy. You have to work hard to make it work."
It was supposedly later confirmed by her spokesperson that Madge's comment referred to Guy, so says entertainmentwise.com.
Madge's Boston gig was the 23rd on her tour, which ends in December.
Just like the five steps of grieving, Madge 'n Guy are going through the motions of a separation. They're at the 'silent treatment' phase at the mo, and have been for quite some time, according to reports.
A snitch says that the couple are so estranged, they now only communicate through their personal assistants.
"It has become so bad that they cannot be in a room together for more than a few minutes without having a shouting match," adds the snitch.
Another snitch tells Usmagazine.com: "All her friends and family have known all along. They had to keep it under wraps and really tried to work things out. They tried for years, actually."
