The former star of Beverly Hills 90210 Luke Perry suffered a massive stroke last week. But it's not the first health scare he's had.
New information regarding actor Luke Perry's health has been released following his shock hospitalisation last Thursday.
Perry, who rose to fame in the 1990s for hisrole on the hit television series Beverly Hills 90210 was hospitalised in California after suffering a "massive" stroke at his home in Sherman Oaks, where he is said to have been able to communicate with the paramedics and was responsive, reports TMZ.

The 52-year-old actor was rushed to a Los Angeles-area hospital where his condition reportedly worsened and he remains under observation, his representative told AFP, declining to elaborate on the actor's condition.
Prior to his stroke Perry was said to be experiencing "bad back problems", which had to be surgically fixed, according to the actor's neighbour.
Perry's last major health scare was in 2015, when precancerous growths were found in his body following a colonoscopy, prompting the actor to speak out about checking for colorectal cancer.
"When I heard that this was the most detectable cancer that we know of yet it's the second most lethal, I just couldn't figure out why that was and I wanted to get out there and tell people about it." he said in an interview with Fox News.
"Right now, there are 23 million Americans who haven't been screened that need to be screened.
"If I had waited, it could have been a whole different scenario."
Upon discovering the growths, Perry drastically changed his diet to decrease the risk of developing colorectal cancer.

"I have significantly cut down the amount of red meat that I eat," Perry told Fox.
"I used to be, like, a steak and potatoes every night kind of guy, now it's just for special occasions."
Those who lived nearby the actor claim that Perry could often be seen doing regular exercise routines frequenting a gym near his house.
Perry had been in Los Angeles working on the television series Riverdale, an adaptation of the Archie comic books in which he plays Archie's father Fred Andrews.
Perry's hospitalisation occurred on the same day that Fox announced that it will reboot the show Beverly Hills 90210, the popular teen soap on which Perry famously played bad boy Dylan McKay in the 90s.
Many celebrities, including some of Perry's former 90210 co-stars, took to social media to express support for the ailing actor.
Luke Perry got his first big break in Beverly Hills 90210, and has gone on to appear in SVU: Special Victims Unit (above), Another World, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Fifth Element and Oz.
Six of the original stars from the series, including Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling, have all signed on to the new show, though Perry's contractual obligations on Riverdale will prevent him from being a regular.
Previously, Spelling said Perry intended to "do as many [episodes] as he can do" in an interview with Access Live.
