Lorde is upping the ante around her new Hunger Games track, expected to be unveiled today.
The 17-year-old New Zealand pop star, on tour in the United States, revealed more of the single's lyrics at the weekend - using Twitter to complete the first three lines of the Yellow FlickerBeat track on the eve of its release.
The lyrics revealed so far are:
I'm a princess cut from marble, smoother than a storm. And the scars that mark my body, they're silver and gold. My blood is a flood of rubies, precious stones.
Earlier last week, the singer also posted a photo of the song's cover art.
The track will feature on the soundtrack of the latest movie in the Hunger Games franchise, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1.
The early lyrics indicate the song may be about Hunger Games heroine Katniss Everdeen, who is portrayed by Jennifer Lawrence in the films.
Mockingjay - Part 1, due out in November, is the third film in the series. Lorde was chosen to curate the soundtrack to the blockbuster and write the first single on the album. She is reported to have worked with Adele's producer Paul Epworth on the song.
Mockingjay picks up where last year's Catching Fire left off, with Everdeen now the official symbol of a mass rebellion against the Capitol.
Lawrence performs alongside other returning stars Josh Hutcherson (Peeta Mellark), Liam Hemsworth (Gale Hawthorne), Woody Harrelson (Haymitch Abernathy) and Donald Sutherland, who plays the villainous President Snow.
The late actor Philip Seymour Hoffman will also be seen reprising his unfinished role of Plutarch Heavensbee. Julianne Moore joins the cast as President Snow's rival, while British Game of Thrones actress Natalie Dormer will appear as Cressida, another Capitol rebel.
The series has made Lawrence cinema's most successful heroine, with the previous two films both grossing more than $1.8 billion worldwide.
