Learn more about Wayne, one of the 10 short documentary films in the inaugural Loading Docs project.

Kirsty Griffin: Co-director / Co-producer
Kirsty began her photographic career in 2002 as an onset unit stills photographer for both New Zealand and international feature films. During this period she pursued her documentary career working for NGOs Child Fund in East Timor, World Vision in Cambodia and South Africa, The Doe Fund in New York and NZ Aids Foundation in Tonga.
In 2010 she relocated to New York to attend the Photojournalism and Documentary Photography School at the International Centre of Photography, where she received the Helen M Stummer scholarship.
Vivienne Kernick: Co-director / Co-producer
After 20 years of working in the art department in the NZ film industry, decorating sets as diverse as caves filled with bones and torture racks to designer penthouse apartments, Viv took a break from showbiz and entered the world of retail. Starting up a bright and cheerful Pacific-style homeware store in Auckland.
In 2010 the opportunity arose to accompany Kirsty on her photojournalist studies in NYC. Viv changed her career tack again and, by pooling their talents and combined experience in the film industry, they started 'Bella Pacific Media' in 2011.
