Lindsay Lohan has spoken out in support of disgraced Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein in a now-deleted Instagram story video.
The bizarre video comes after an array of women - including several high profile actresses - have gone public with allegations of sexual misconduct by Weinstein, news.com.au reports.
"I feel very bad for Harvey Weinstein right now," Lohan said in the Instagram story, shot at her home in Dubai.
"I don't think it's right what's going on," she continues, her current Russian /European / Middle Eastern accent on full display.
Weinstein's wife of ten years, British fashion designer Georgina Chapman, announced today that she was leaving her husband - a decision Lohan also criticised.
"I think Georgina needs to take a stand and be there for her husband," she said.
Lohan said that she had worked with Weinstein several times and never been subjected to any untoward behaviour.
"He's never harmed me or did anything to me - we've done several movies together. I think everyone needs to stop - I think it's wrong. So stand up," she said, even embellishing her video by placing Weinstein's name next to a halo-ringed emoji.
Encouraging her followers to "stand up" for a Hollywood power player now facing dozens of allegations of sexual assault was always going to be an unpopular move, and Lohan soon deleted the videos.
Lohan's support for Weinstein comes just months after she called on Americans to "stop bullying" US President Donald Trump - a man who once announced on air that he thought she was "deeply troubled" and therefore "great in bed."
