The message reads: "MTV want to band (sic) the Our Time video during the daytime, unless they get a clean edit that show (sic) you a) not drinking from a flask and b) not displaying antisocial behaviour from drinking by fighting... I told the label we are not making a clean version of the video. Bring on the controversy!''
Despite her hard exterior, the 28-year-old has previously admitted that negative comments still affect her.
"I couldn't get to sleep because I was up until three o'clock in the morning just, like, looking at YouTube comments on my new video. You get addicted to the negative side of stuff.'' she told thedebrief.co.uk.
"So then you go looking at the sites where you know people are going to be horrible. And then you become convinced that the entire world hates you. You're sat there at three o'clock in the morning like, 'Oh God, what am I doing, why am I doing this to myself?'"
But Allen says she tries to keep things in perspective.
"My mum said something to me a few years ago, before the whole digital media thing came into play. I called her up really upset because I'd read something horrible and she said, 'How did you feel before you read that thing?' she explained.
"I said, 'Absolutely fine,' and she said, 'Has anything actually, really, in the world, changed since you read that thing?'"
