If Leonardo DiCaprio can't land an Oscar for playing one character, maybe he can for acting 24 at once.
The Wolf of Wall Street star has signed on to star in The Crowded Room, the true story of Billy Milligan who famously had 24 different personalities.
DiCaprio will lead thebiopic about a man who used his split personality disorder to successfully defend rape and robbery charges.
Milligan's personalities included a Yugoslavian communist, a three-year-old girl and, a sophisticated Englishman and an Australian.
DiCaprio is reported to have been interested in the part since Hollywood talks about the film began in the early 1990s, but production has only now been confirmed.
The actor has been nominated for four Oscars for acting, including for leading roles in Blood Diamond and The Aviator, but has been snubbed every time.
DiCaprio, 40, is currently filming The Revenant, in which he plays an 1820s fur trapper who is abandoned after being mauled by a bear.
