Ladyhawke will be playing shows in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland.
With just over a month until Ladyhawke releases her new album, Wild Things , the Kiwi singer is celebrating with a homecoming tour, announcing three New Zealand tour dates for July.
Based in Los Angeles, the Masterton-born singer will head home to play shows in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland fromJuly 21 to 23.
Tickets for the shows - at CPSA in Christchurch, Bodega in Wellington and the Powerstation in Auckland - go on sale next Friday, May 6.
Fans of Ladyhawke's original pop sensibilities will be pleased to hear the new album embraces the lighter side of life, as showcased in the first single A Love Song.
Ladyhawke says she's never been happier and has moved past the anger and disillusionment that coloured her last album, 2012's Anxiety.
"I'm just happy to be out there again so people can hear my music. I don't care what happens. If I can keep recording music for the rest of my life, that's all I really care about," she told TimeOut.
Touring remains a challenge for the 36-year-old, who has struggled with stage fright throughout her career. But she says she's learnt to accept it and push through the fear.
"I think it's always going to be like that. I've just got to do it. It's like ripping a Bandaid off. You get on, do it, you get off."
