Lady Gaga is to sing the American national anthem at this year's Super Bowl.
The Pokerface hitmaker will perform The Star-Spangled Banner at the annual sporting event, which takes place at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California on Sunday.
During the breaks from the sporting action - which will see
the Carolina Panthers take on the Denver Broncos in the National Football League final - Coldplay will also make an appearance, gracing the stage for the coveted half-time set.
Revealing the group's special guests, frontman Chris Martin said: "I love the whole concept of trying to present your entire musical life in 12 and a half minutes. We've possibly got 11 good minutes. So we have some special guests and they'll cover the rest.
"There's a spot on the stage which may be Beyoncé's footprint ... And we could look for a Bruno Mars one."
