Mother Monster is about to board her mother ship.
Lady Gaga and pop titan Justin Bieber will make brief cameos as aliens in upcoming sci-fi comedy, Men In Black 3, according to director Barry Sonnenfeld.
Gaga was previously linked to the movie after lead actor Will Smith let slip during a recent interview that the sequel will feature several special celebrity guests - the Born This Way singer being one of them.
"We have a couple of celebrity cameos, but I think I cannot reveal who they are," he said during an interview with Brazilian website ElCorilloRD.com. "We must keep as a surprise that Lady Gaga appears."
Sonnenfeld has now confirmed that Gaga, Bieber and director Tim Burton will appear on the alien surveillance board at Men in Black headquarters.
"In this [film] there are a few people that you'll see up on the surveillance board including Lady Gaga, Tim Burton, who probably knows more about aliens then I do, and let's see who else ... Justin Bieber," Sonnenfeld said in an interview with Collider.com.
In previous instalments, Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and Martha Stewart
have featured on the surveillance board.
Michael Jackson also played Agent M in 2002's Men in Black 2.
Sonnenfeld also spoke about the process of casting celebrities in the franchise.
"We've always had in Men in Black headquarters, alien surveillance, so one of the joys is deciding who you would put up on the board, who you would tell the world are aliens," he explained.
"And A) the challenge is you have to get permission from these celebrities and B) you don't want to go with people that are either a flash in the pan, or political, or people that then in 10 years no one will know who you're talking about.
"So the challenge is getting celebrities that are famous, will give you permission and won't be like, 'Who's that guy?' in 10 years," he added.
Look out for Gaga, The Biebs and Flight of the Conchords' Jemaine Clement in Men in Black 3 when it hits New Zealand cinemas on May 24.
