Kim Kardashian has posted a picture of her face covered in blood after undergoing an expensive "vampire facial".

The 32-year-old reality TV star had blood siphoned out of her arm and injected into her face for the NZ$1200 procedure aimed at rejuvenating the skin.

She made headlines after target="_blank">posting a picture of her face covered in specks of blood on her Instagram account.

Another picture showed her with watering eyes, wiping blood off her face.

Kardashian's procedure was shown on the reality show Kourtney and Kim Take Miami.

It showed the reality star shouting "oh my God! I will never get a facelift if it feels like that" as doctors inserted nine acupuncture needles into her face.
