Kim Kardashian has shared her rules for taking the perfect selfie.
The reality TV star is no stranger to posting photos of herself on social networking sites. And she has now told fans how to follow in her footsteps and take a great self-portrait.
"Rule number one, you always have to have it a little higher," she explains on a video revealed by Extra, as she holds her camera phone above her head.
Kim gave out her tips while visiting a nail salon with her best friend Brittny Gastineau.
The brunette then became distracted by her own reflection and clearly wasn't happy without her usual layers of mascara and lipstick. "Ugh, I look disgusting without make-up," she moaned.
Kim went on to urge people to find their best angle and make the most of the lighting around you. She also advised moving the camera from high to low, before warning not to overdo the pout.
"But no duck face," she said pushing her plump lips together. "I love doing that, because it gives you cheekbones. But people get so mad."
Kim's sister Khloe Kardashian recently praised the 33-year-old for her ability to take great photos of herself. She also shared some secrets about perfecting the art of selfies.
"You have to arch it up, to have the camera up above, down below gives you too many double chins, so up above and whatever face you make," Khloe advised.
"Kim is a huge flash person. It's still her theory to this day and if the flash is not on she's like, 'Oh no, can we delete that?' She wants to see you delete it and re-do it with the flash."
