Moments after news broke that Kim Kardashian had been brutally held up at gunpoint and robbed inside her Paris apartment, many fans asked: where the heck was her seemingly ever-present bodyguard?
However, the 'badly shaken up' reality star has reportedly jumped to his defence, with US Weekly reporting that shehad she felt safe staying alone inside the residence.

It's understood Duvier was protecting her sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner in a nightclub at the time.
"Kim is not blaming Pascal. She felt completely safe at the Paris apartment and doesn't believe this is his fault in any way," sources told the magazine.

The 35-year-old was held at gunpoint before being tied up and locked in a bathroom while five men dressed as police officers raided her flat, stealing an estimated $A14 million worth of jewellery.
Kardashian, who had been attending Paris Fashion Week alongside mother Kris Jenner and Kourtney and Kendall, was "badly shaken" but unharmed during the terrifying incident.

Soon afterwards, she was pictured boarding a private jet out of Paris, dressed in black with a hood covering her face, accompanied by Duvier.
TMZ reports that just hours later, Kardashian and husband Kanye West were seen pulling up outside their New York home with an entourage of about 10 vehicles, 15 bodyguards and members of the NYPD.
