A packed schedule of artists heading to New Zealand later this year just got busier with Khalid confirming his first show here.
The El Paso singer-songwriter will be playing on the back of American Teen, his debut that includes production by Kiwi hitmaker Joel Little and the singles Young, Dumb& Broke and Location.
The 19-year-old will perform at Auckland's Town Hall on November 12.
American Teen has received rave reviews for its honest approach to teenage melodramas.
"With this album, I want to show everyone it's okay to have emotions, it's okay to be happy, and it's okay to be sad," he says.
"I'm throwing everything I've ever been through on the table. I'm giving everyone my take on high school and life."
He joins a packed schedule of touring artists due here before the end of the year, including Odesza, Future, Migos, 6lack, Lorde, The Game and Mac Miller.
Tickets are on sale from August 9, with a Spark pre-sale beginning on August 4.
