Pop star Kesha has been spotted with a Highlanders player while celebrating her birthday in New Zealand.
In a social media post, the American singer was filmed on Highlanders and Tasman playmaker Taine Robinson‘s shoulders while wearing what appears to be a customised All Blacks jersey and knee-high lugteal platform boots with thigh-high pink socks.
Robinson can be seen shirtless with grey shorts and smiling while the pop star is on his shoulders, grabbing his hair.
“FEELING THE LOVE NEW ZEALAND!” Kesha, 39, wrote as the caption to the post.
“Thank you all for making this one of my best years yet ❤️ since Tuesday we’ve traveled [sic] over 10,000 miles, 48 hours, and we made it to Paris and can’t wait to kick off the UK & European leg of the T!ts Out Tour tomorrow!!!
Robinson, who appears in one of the videos, is unavailable to play for the Highlanders this weekend because of a back injury, but is expected to return within the next two weeks.
His NPC side Tasman Mako commented on the post, saying “this is a big day for us”, while he has reposted the video on his Instagram story.
The versatile back debuted for Tasman in the 2021 NPC season, helping his side to make the final.
He later made his Super Rugby debut for the Crusaders as injury cover in 2024, eventually joining the Highlanders for the 2025 season.
Robinson has made 12 total appearances in Super Rugby, scoring 30 points across those games.
