Kanye West has hinted he will join forces with another hip-hop heavyweight, Drake, for a new album.
West made the surprise announcement while performing at OVO Fest - an annual festival hosted in Toronto, Canada by Drake.
"Toronto, I got one question for you. Is y'all ready for this album?"he asked the crowd before stopping the music. "I wasn't talking about Pablo. I wasn't talking about Views. I wanna ask y'all right now: Are y'all ready for this album?"
West told The Breakfast Club in 2015 that the song Wolves was inspired by his collab discussions with Drake.
"The Wolves song came from a conversation that me and Drake had, when was gonna do an album together, and the album was called Wolves," he said at the time.
In April, NME reported Drake hinted that he and Kim Kardashian's husband were close to releasing a mixtape.
"We'll just sit and collaborate. We have a few things that we've worked on. It's all about finding a place for it," Drake told Zane Lowe.
"We can link each other and discuss anything. Feeling a way on this or just leisure talk, we have a great relationship. I hope we get more music out. We were supposed to do a mixtape together an album together ... You never know, he'll call me tonight and say, 'I'm putting these two songs out tonight'."
