Justin Bieber had a run in with the law just hours after rumours surfaced he proposed to Selena Gomez.
The Boyfriend singer - who was dumped by his girlfriend of two years last week amid reports she felt she couldn't trust him to be faithful - was pulled over inhis white Ferrari for making a dangerous left turn in West Hollywood.
He was was then issued a ticket after police officers discovered his registration for the supercar had expired.
Law enforcement sources confirmed to gossip website TMZ.com that the 18-year-old Canadian popstar - who was driving with a friend at the time - was compliant with police and was issued a ticket for not having valid registration.
Meanwhile, sources close to the star have dismissed reports he proposed to 20-year-old Gomez twice prior to their high profile split.
PerezHilton.com claimed a source revealed: "They have agreed to never, never, ever talk about the proposals! It would be far too damaging to his reputation if people found out that a smaller star turned down a bigger star."
But rival website GossipCop.com later claimed the story was "completely false" and also said that Gomez dumped Bieber because he was "too needy".
