Asked if he knew Miss Yeater, a former clerk, he insisted he had "never met the woman'.
Meanwhile, the New York Post reported that Miss Yeater was arrested in Las Vegas less than two months after getting pregnant.
Court records show that on December 21 last year she pleaded not guilty to a charge of battery for slapping a man in the face.
On June 16 her lawyer asked for a postponement as she does not live in Las Vegas and could not travel due to her "high-risk pregnancy'. The case is apparently still pending.
At the time Miss Yeater is thought to have been living in Fredericksburg, Virginia, where those who knew her said she had considered putting the baby up for adoption.
Samra Fae Stepper, who lived with her for a while, said: "She didn't know if she was going to keep him. We kept asking about the father, but I didn't press it.'
Last night police in Los Angeles confirmed that they would look into a complaint of statutory rape if one was made against Miss Yeater. She was 19 at the time she claims to have had sex with Bieber, who was 16. Under California law it is illegal to have sex with anyone under the age of 18.
