Broadcasting company Mediaworks is in hot water with the Electoral Commission.
The commission's referred the broadcaster to police over a TV skit played on a Jono and Ben at Ten show in late June.
The piece, centred on the Novopay problems, featured New Zealand First leader Winston Peters.
