John Lennon and Paul McCartney's sons 'Come Together' for rare selfie

John Lennon and Paul McCartney's sons took to Instagram with a rare snap together.

Sean Ono Lennon and James McCartney bore a striking resemblance to their famous Beatles dads, for the image shares, and captioned 'Peekaboo', on Monday according to DailyMail.

Sean, 42, is the only child of Yoko Ono and John, who was assassinated in 1980, while James, 40, is the fourth child of Sir Paul and the late Linda McCartney.

Sean also has a half brother called Julian, 55, who his dad John shared with ex-wife Cynthia Lennon.

Following in the footsteps his famous dad, Sean has lent his talents as a musician and producer to a number of high profile groups, as well as boasting his own solo music material.

As well as James, Paul is also father to three other daughters with late wife Linda - Heather McCartney, Mary McCartney, Stella McCartney.

The rocker then welcomed daughter Beatrice, now 14, with Heather Mills, who he was married to from 2002 to 2008.

Paul has been happily married to Nancy Shevell since 2011.

James has also proved that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, releasing two EPs and two albums.

Meanwhile, back in March, Paul stood in solidarity with protesters at the New York City March for Our Lives protest on Saturday and reminded the world of his own experience with gun violence.

Without going on camera, he told a CNN reporter: 'As you know, one of my best friends was shot not far from here. It is important to me.'

It was an understated tribute to John Lennon, his Beatles bandmate who was gunned down outside The Dakota Building, where he lived, in by gunman Mark David Chapman in December 1980.

The New York City protest was held at 72nd Street between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West, within eye shot of The Dakota Building and Strawberry Fields, the Central Park tribute created for Lennon after his death.
