Former Desperate Housewives star Jesse Metcalfe was hospitalised after falling from a second-storey balcony in Monaco over the weekend, his representative has said.
According to his rep, Metcalfe, who was in Monaco to host the World Music Awards, was sitting on the ledge of a balcony when he
toppled backwards and fell 40 feet to the ground.
The actor was rushed to a nearby hospital for an X-ray and brain scan, and was discharged on Monday.
His rep tells Usmagazine.com that the star is "doing fine" following his ordeal.
"He accidentally slipped off a balcony and was knocked unconscious," the rep adds, "but he is fine and now recovering from some minor bruises in a London hospital."
Metcalfe rose to fame after playing Eva Longoria's love interest in Desperate Housewives.
