Jenny Slate blasted Justin Baldoni as the “biggest clown and the most intense narcissist”.
The 43-year-old actress played Baldoni’s onscreen sister in the 2024 movie It Ends With Us, which he also directed, but Slate told her team she didn’t want to do any publicity with Baldoni for the movieand had found the whole shoot “really gross and disturbing”.
Leading actress Blake Lively sued Baldoni and some of his associates in December 2024 for sexual harassment and retaliation, prompting him to deny the claims and file a countersuit, which was dismissed last June.
And, before a summary judgment hearing in Lively’s ongoing case, Slate’s text messages from June 2023 have been unsealed.
According to People magazine, Slate texted her team: “I don’t want to do anything with Justin, I don’t want to talk about him, like ... nothing. And the same goes for Jamey [Heath], who is truly unprofessional.

“[The movie] has been a really gross and disturbing shoot, and I’m one of many who feel [this] way”.
She added that she and Lively had “both complained directly” to the studio.
She went on: “Justin is truly a false ally and I’m unwilling to do anything that promotes the image that he’s crafting as a ‘male feminist’ ... like ... honestly I have no words to describe what a fraud he is. I honestly have never ever encountered anything like this dude.”
After Lively’s lawsuit went public, Slate shared her support, saying: “As Blake Lively’s cast mate and friend, I voice my support as she takes action against those reported to have planned and carried out an attack on her reputation. Blake is a leader, loyal friend and a trusted source of emotional support for me and so many who know and love her.
“What has been revealed about the attack on Blake is terribly dark, disturbing and wholly threatening. I commend my friend, I admire her bravery, and I stand by her side.”
