Talk of the two heading for Splitsville has surfaced after both were spotted without their respective wedding rings while out and about in Hollywood this week.

Hubby Anthony was also reportedly spotted without his ring at a basketball game last month.

says "multiple sources" have confirmed that the marriage is at "

breaking point

".

"

They both didn't wear their rings on purpose

," a mutual (snitch) pal of the couple tells the mag. "Nothing Jennifer does is without purpose."

The report says that Anthony's alleged "controlling" nature has contributed to the 'marriage breakdown'.

The same snitch says: "He's very, very controlling of her.

"The skirts aren't as short. You don't see so much of that booty anymore."

And Lopez, according to the report, is said to blame Anthony for her dwindling career.

"Jennifer blames Marc for her career going down the tubes," adding that she's supposedly bitter about the box office failure of her 2006 flick

"Jennifer looked around and said, 'This is my life now? I'm a Long Island housewife?'" a snitch says. "She hates that everything she worked for went down the tubes."

A rep for Anthony offered no explanation for the missing bands, but insisted there's no split. "

The break-up gossip is further fuelled by the fact that the couple hasn't been photographed together since October.

However, the pair was spotted together this week holding hands while enjoying a dinner at a Los Angeles restaurant.

"They snuggled together in a booth, feeding each other Wagyu Kobe meatballs and sharing the tamarind-glazed ribs," a source tells E! News.
