Jenny's got her block: A judge has spared singer

judge has been granted a restraining order blocking the release of an intimate tape featuring the star and ex-husband

Ojani Noa

.

The steamy home video in question dates from Lopez's honeymoon with her first husband way back in 1997.

Noa had been trying to flog the 'intimate' footage from their short-lived marriage - they wed in February 1997, and were on a toboggan ride to Splitsville in January 1998. He said he would be using the footage as the basis for a TV series, as well as a tell-all book.

However, Lopez won a permanent injunction in 2009 that prohibited the saucy footage from being released. Word is Noa signed a confidentiality agreement when he divorced J-Lo, banning him from blabbing about their marriage.

Game over. Not exactly...

Noa recently sold the video in question to his current girlfriend and business partner,

Cynthia Vazquez

, for the bargain-basement price of $1 - with the intention that she would release it.

Nice legal loophole, but J-Lo caught wind of the crafty plan and put the kibosh on the release of the footage. More on that later.

So what exactly does the footage contain?

"My tape is from our honeymoon, the wedding, us hanging out. There's no nudity - maybe one spanking," Noa told

E! Online

.

"There's moments of her fighting with her mom...couples having fun and kissing. If someone has a sex tape, it's not me."

Last week, Noa's manager,

Ed Meyer

, told E! Online that a bidding war had erupted for the footage, and that bids were starting "in the hundreds of thousands".

"I've gotten emails from Pornhub, YouPorn, Pulse Distribution, Red Light District and Kevin Blatt, who brokered

's sex tape," Meyer said, "If an offer looks good, we'll definitely take it."

And in contrast to Noa's initial word that the footage contained no nudity, his manager also revealed that there was "about 15-20 minutes of total nudity between all the different clips among the 27 hours of footage" of the former couple.

But while it's not technically a "sex tape," there's no doubt that its release would be an embarrassing blow for the Latina star.

Now, much to J-Lo's delight, an LA County Superior Court Judge has granted the singer a temporary restraining order against Vasquez, preventing her from releasing the footage.

TMZ reports

that although Vasquez technically now owns the tape, a judge has decreed that the singer must sign off on the footage if it is to be released.

Exactly. It'll be a cold day in hell before that happens.

Vasquez's lawyer said in a statement: "[Vazquez] will respect the court's orders.

"The ultimate goal has been to work in this industry as a producer and she [Vazquez] got the green light to continue to do that.

"We hope that Ms Lopez will also obey the court's order and not attempt to interfere with her right to make a film."

The film in question is believed to be a comedic look at J-Lo's rise to fame, and her brief marriage Noa.

They'll be queuing around the block for that one.

Apparently Vasquez has no plans to appeal the judge's ruling at this stage.

Bow chicka kapow! And so Lopez and her derrière remain safely under wraps. For now.

Accepting her Generation Award at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, Witherspoon took a swipe at those starlets who have made their name from dropping their laundry and starring in their own sex tapes.

.

"And if you took naked pictures of yourself on your cell phone, you hide your face, people!" she said.

"So, for all the girls out there, it's totally possible to be a good girl. I'm going to try to make it cool."

While Witherspoon's rep says she wasn't criticising anyone in particular - "Reese was absolutely not referencing Blake Lively" - there's no denying that her timing was impeccable.

Farewell McDreamy?

Riddle me this: Is

really bailing on

Grey's Anatomy

?

Word at the water cooler last week suggested that Dempsey will be hanging up his scrubs for the last time after one more season of the hit TV show.

Dempsey had fans holding on to their pacemakers after he said in a recent interview with the Italian edition of

Vanity Fair

that the upcoming 2011-12 season would be his last.

"It will be my last," he said. "I don't know what will happen with the other characters, but for me, it's done." Adding that the decision is "bittersweet because it's been a great part of my life. But I can't see me doing it anymore."

And just to cloud the waters even further, his rep then piped up to 'clarify' Dempsey's comments.

"He was referring to the fact that his contract is up at the end of next season," the rep said, "and we have no idea what the future holds."

So is he in or out?

Access Hollywood asked the star

the very same question at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday.

"Set the record straight - last season of Grey's Anatomy?" probed the reporter.

"Our contracts are up I haven't heard anything, so it seems like it is," Dempsey replied. "I don't know. It's not in my hands, quite honestly, and it's really too early to talk about. I [have] a whole season ahead of me to do, so we'll see what happens."

To which the reporter replied: "There are many fans who would say they're not watching the show if you [aren't] on it."

Dempsey countered: "There are also a lot of fans saying they will watch the show because they like other characters.

"The success we've had with the show is because of the fans and the fans that have stuck with us need to be taken care of and listened to, certainly, and I hope we can do a really good season for them and keep them entertained, keep them engaged. I think that's our responsibility right now."
