Jared Leto cuts his long locks for new film

Jared Leto's luscious locks are no more.

David Ayer, the Director of Leto's latest film Suicide Squad, tweeted a picture of the Oscar winner's trademark pony tail and a pair of scissors with the words "Shall we".

Four hours later Ayer revealed Leto's new look.

It's a massive transformation.

Leto is pictured with his hand over one side of his face, clean shaven (yes the beard has gone too), with short back and sides.

The award winning actor grew his hair for his role in Dallas Buyers Club and has left it long ever since.

Leto will play the Joker in Suicide Squad which starts filming in April.
