Rocker Jack White has written an open letter to the "rude" student journalists who published demands from his tour rider, offering them his forgiveness and an explanation behind his bizarre banana ban at venues.
The former White Stripes star became embroiled in a feud with pupils at the University of
Oklahoma earlier this month after writers working on the college newspaper obtained his tour rider for a gig at the college using a Freedom of Information Act request.
They published details including his demands for homemade guacamole, which came with a special recipe, and a ban on bananas, triggering a war of words with White's managers who accused the students of being "unprofessional" and "unwelcoming" for printing the information.

White has now waded into the feud himself by publishing an open letter to the trainee reporters on his website, scolding the students for their actions but also offering his forgiveness and an explanation behind the quirky details of his tour rider.
