Is this Jennifer Lawrence's biggest wardrobe malfunction?

Jennifer Lawrence says her biggest wardrobe malfunction came when she introduced herself to a famous director with her "whole ass" exposed.

The Hunger Games star was having dinner in a Parisian restaurant when she saw filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola enjoying a meal with a group of friends when she decided to go over and say hello.

She said: "Everybody thinks they've witnessed my most embarrassing moments but there's these two really humiliating stories ... that I've never talked about because it's so genuinely embarrassing. But now I feel like the statute of limitations on humiliation is up, and I'm ready.

"I started walking [over to Coppola] and I noticed I was barefoot, but I was like, 'Eh, they probably won't notice.'"

However, there was a slight problem as her dress had come unzipped, exposing her "whole ass".

Speaking on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, she recalled: "So I'm barefoot, and I, like, introduced myself, said, 'Oh, I'm such a huge fan! 'The Godfather!' Ahhhh!' And then went on and introduced myself to the whole table, 'Hi, I'm Jennifer Lawrence.' They had no idea who I was. Then, I went back to my table, and [I realised] my entire dress was unzipped, and my thong was out.

"So I'm barefoot, and my whole ass was out. I thought the shoes were going to be the problem."

During her time on the chat show, she also revealed another embarrassing moment, where she mistook a woman for Elizabeth Taylor, even though the legendary actress had died years previously.

Lawrence is known for several wardrobe malfunctions and for tripping and falling several times during red carpet events, including movie premieres and the Academy Awards.

Her Hunger Games co-star Liam Hemsworth says she's a "clumsy, clumsy girl".

In an interview with chat show host Seth Meyers, he quipped: "She's terrible at walking. I am constantly surprised at how much she falls down without trying at all.

"She fell in Spain going up the stairs in a premiere and she also fell in Berlin getting up off a chair."

However, Hemsworth admitted that one of Lawrence's falls was his fault as he was supposed to be propping her up when her shoe broke.

He explained: "I let go of Jen to hug this person and [she went] straight down- hits the ground. I take full responsibility for that one."

Lawrence admits she finds her clumsiness embarrassing.

She told Fallon: "I fell in every single city on the press tour. I fell 'round the world! It's so embarrassing to be known for that."
