Angelina Jolie is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in
Changeling
. As Christine Collins, she portrays the mother of a missing child who takes on the corrupt Los Angeles Police Department in her frantic search for her son. She won a Satellite Award for the role and was also nominated for a BAFTA, Critics Choice, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award.
Jolie grew up in Los Angeles, the daughter of actor Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand. She was a professional model before embarking on a career in acting. Some of her films include
