Scarlett Johansson is to go on a date with a fan who paid thousands in a charity eBay auction to meet her.
The lucky UK bidder, known only as 'bossnour' paid paid US$40,100 (NZ$49,059) for two tickets to the premiere of Scarlett's new film He's Just Not ThatInto You in July in either Los Angeles or New York where they will meet the actress.
All proceeds raised from the eBay auction will go to charity Oxfam America.
In a video posted on the website, Scarlett said: "Hi, I'm Scarlett Johansson and I am auctioning off two tickets to the world premiere of my new film, 'He's Just Not That Into You'. This auction benefits Oxfam which in an international relief agency that fights poverty around the world.
"The winner of the charity auction will not only get to attend the premiere, but 100 per cent of the proceeds go directly to supporting Oxfam's work. So, please bid high! Thank you for your support, and happy bidding!"
Along with the chance to meet Scarlett, the winner of the auction will also have their hair and make-up done and will arrive at the premiere in a chauffeured car.
Scarlett has been working with Oxfam since 2005 and travelled to Sri Lanka and India to see their work in action.
Other Oxfam America celebrity auctions currently open include the chance to buy Charlize Theron's dress which she wore to the Cannes Film Festival, and a date with Kristin Davis at the premiere of Sex and the City: The Movie this May.
Oxfam America is a Boston-based branch of the international development and relief agency, Oxfam International. It offers development programmes and emergency relief services, and campaigns for change in global practices and policies that keep people in poverty.
