How Australia's Bachelorette winner got spoiled

The winner of Australia's Bachelorette was spoiled by a news website which reportedly ran photos of the happy couple canoodling hours before their relationship was announced.

Sam Frost ended her reign as the Bachelorette - and being single - on Thursday night when she chose Sasha Mielczarek over Michael Turnbull in the Australian dating show.

But the outcome was not without a spoiler, with the Daily Mail online coming under fire from Bachelorette fans for publishing photos of Sam and Sasha cuddling in a hotel room, reportedly taken just hours before the screening.

News.com reported that Network Ten took out an injunction against the website from publishing the photos, filed in the Supreme Court of New South Wales at 8pm.

Not long after, the pictures and story were removed from Daily Mail's website and social media, it was reported.

But that didn't stop fans from complaining that the finale had been ruined for them.

Sasha, 30, of NSW, was a fan favourite to win against Michael, 34, of Brisbane, after an initial 14 male contestants on Network Ten's reality dating series.

Network Ten did not comment about the spoilers.

Viewers took to social media to rejoice after the outcome was announced.

"Thank God. Love still exists," tweeted James Toovey.

"Omg true love is real," added Jay Ong.

"I'm crying," piped up Izzy.

Sasha, 30, of NSW, was a favourite to win over Michael, 34, of Brisbane, and both men used the finale to tell Sam they loved her.
