BINGE
Dear White People has returned to Netflix with a new second season and boy is it binge-worthy. With all the world-building now out of the way after season one, this season takes us deeper into the black experience, while also exploring sexuality - including getting awkwardly real about queer sex - friendship, family, politics and, in particular, social media and cyberbullying. And on top of all that, there's a mystery to unravel prompting the line, "this is some black Harry Potter shit!" and just a heads-up - episode eight makes for incredibly uncomfortable, but super important and hard-hitting viewing.

YouTube Red has revamped one of the biggest 80s classics ever: The Karate Kid. Now, I know what you're thinking, and don't worry, Jaden Smith isn't in this one. It does, however, star the original Karate Kid Ralph Macchio reprising his role as Daniel LaRusso, and William Zabka returns as his arch enemy Johnny Lawrence. The story catches up with the pair 34 years later as they navigate their grown-up lives, parenthood and rediscovery of karate. There are throwbacks aplenty and an interesting flip of the script as we finally hear the other side of the classic story - well worth a watch for any Karate Kid fan.
