I'm not ashamed to admit I love a reality TV show or two, and the new season of The Bachelor Australia has proved to be the perfect thing to spice up these midweek winter nights. We're only just off the starting blocks and the drama has already left me floored. No offence to New Zealand, but the Aussies seem to really up the ante on these shows. Perhaps we're more reserved than our brash neighbours, I'm not sure, but whatever is in the water over there it certainly makes for great television. Some of the ladies seem to have launched a full-scale assault in their quest to win the love of ex-professional rugby player Nick "the honey badger" Cummins. It's certainly shaping up to be a season to remember.

The majority of my podcast list is filled with true crime, so much so it concerns some of my friends. So I was obviously straight on to the new season of Up and Vanished as soon as it launched. The first season was hugely successful, topping 150 million downloads, and despite only being one episode in I think the second season might top that. This time Up and Vanished looks at the disappearance of Kristal Anne Reisinger, a young mother who vanished from the small town of Crestone in the United States. It already has some similar characteristics to the first season and seems like it will be equally as gripping. It's hard not to get ahead of yourself and hope that this season will also ends in an arrest, or at least a conclusion for the cold case.
