The show, which screened on TV3 in New Zealand, has been cancelled after three seasons, reports Variety.
"We have been tremendously proud of Hannibal over its three seasons," a statement from NBC said.
"Bryan and his team of writers andproducers, as well as our incredible actors, have brought a visual palette of storytelling that has been second to none in all of television - broadcast or cable."
The show was based on serial killer Dr Hannibal Lecter, and his appearance in Thomas Harris' novel Red Dragon.
