If you're looking for bang for your buck, look no further than Jeremy Renner.
The Marvel star has topped Forbes' annual list of the most bankable actors in Hollywood, measured by box office returns vs. pay cheque.
His movies returned an average $93.80 AUD at the box office for every$1 he was paid, making him this year's best actor for the buck, Forbes reports.

Renner's hits include featured supporting roles in the Captain America movies andMission: Impossible, and the Oscar-nominated sci fi film Arrival, which took $203 million at the box office against a $47 million budget.
Second on the list was Emma Watson, thanks to her starring role as Belle in this year's live action Beauty and the Beast remake. Her films returned an average $70.70 at the box office for every $1 she earned.
Two more female A-listers, Scarlett Johansson and Amy Adams, took the third and fourth spots respectively — both thanks largely to their roles in hugely popular comic book franchises like Captain America, Avengers and Batman Vs. Superman.

Rounding out the list at number five is Chris Pratt — more proof that comic book adaptations are a near-foolproof Hollywood money-spinner with his role in Guardians of the Galaxy.
While those five actors had a very good 2017, it's not such good news for those who ended up on Forbes list of the most overpaid actors in Hollywood.
Mark Wahlberg was 2017's most overpaid actor after a string of box office flops. Wahlberg earned $US68 million pretax this year. For every $1 he was paid for his three major movies, the flicks earned back just $4.40.
