He's already returned to a movie franchise he left more than 30 years ago. Now Harrison Ford is about to do it again.
At a fan event in Sydney to promote his return as space cowboy Han Solo in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Ford confirmed he would soon returnto another of his iconic roles.
"I'm looking forward to doing ... Blade Runner (2)," Ford told thousands of fans gathered at the event in front of the Sydney Opera House, earning him some of the biggest cheers of the night.

"We got a really good script and a good story, a good director and a wonderful cast for another continuation of the story surrounding Blade Runner. I start that in Fall of next year," he said.
The announcement, long rumoured, confirms Ford's participation in Ridley Scott's sequel to the 1982 cult sci-fi classic, which Ford made in between Star Wars films The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return of the Jedi (1983).

Despite starring in a number of high intensity blockbusters, including four Indiana Jones films, Ford denied he was an action movie star.
"I consider myself to be an assistant story-teller. Whatever the story, I'm pleased to have a job," he said.
When it came to scripts, Ford said he was looking for something that would be a crowd pleaser.
"It's my guess as to what might attract, and serve and excite an audience. Because there's no story without an audience. They're the people I work for."

As for what fans can expect from The Force Awakens when it opens next week, Ford says: "It's a really good ride. There's some really substantial emotional exercise involved. You put those two together and you've got yourself a winner."
