LONDON - Thousands of returned tickets for the Glastonbury Festival sold out in hours after going on sale on Sunday.
Michael Eavis, the farmer who runs the festival, had said up to 20,000 unpaid or unwanted tickets would be available.
The sale was a second chance for thousandsof music fans who missed out earlier this month when 137,500 of the weekend tickets sold out in 90 minutes.
The festival said no more of the 145 pound weekend tickets would now be sold.
But there would be a further sale of unwanted and returned coach ticket packages on Thursday at 9am.
Organisers were allowed to boost capacity to 177,000 for this year's event on condition that 25,000 ticket holders came by coach.
Glastonbury returns after a year's absence to its Worthy Farm home in Somerset on June 22-24, with the line-up expected to include The Who, Kaiser Chiefs and the Arctic Monkeys.
