George Clooney has just got himself married - well, in a commercial anyway.

George Clooney has just got himself married - well, in a commercial anyway.

Opinion by

Congratulations to sworn bachelor George Clooney - he just got married. In the realm of TV fantasy at least.

The 50-year-old actor, who recently split from Italian flame Elisabetta Canalis and is currently dating former WWE star Stacey Keibler, has famously vowed never to trot down the aisle again.

Clooney wed actress Talia Balsam in 1989. The marriage ended in divorce in 1993.

"I've proven how good I was at it, and I just. ... I'm allowed one," Clooney told CNN's Piers Morgan earlier this year.

Which makes the silver fox's appearance in this ad for Norwegian bank DNB NOR all the more amusing.

The ad begins with a dazed and disheveled blonde who wakes up alone in a hotel room with the mother of all hangovers. She clocks a whopping rock on her finger and nervously flips through wedding photos strewn on the desk before her.

And just as she starts to piece it all together, in saunters her new hubby Clooney in his pajamas.

"Well hey there," he says. "I was letting you sleep."

As she clocks her wedding dress, he flashes an impish smile and purrs, "I like your dress. It looks better off than on."

Oh, George ... hubba, hubba!

#Winning Ma-Sheen

Charlie Sheen and his ex-bosses at Warner Bros. are but a whisker away from settling their legal differences, according to several reports.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the former Two And A Half Men star is nearing an agreement with the studio, after Sheen filed a $100 million wrongful-termination suit against them.

Word is that Sheen will be paid approximately US$25 million (NZ$30m), as well as US$100 million (NZ$121m) in syndication profits over the next decade.

Sheen's rep has refused to comment on the speculation thus far. Stay tuned.

The news follow's Sheen's unexpected appearance at the 63rd Annual Emmys on Sunday, where he wished his former colleagues on the show well.

"I want to take a moment to get something off my chest and to say a few words to everybody here from Two And A Half Men," Sheen told the audience. "From the bottom of my heart I wish you nothing but the best for the upcoming season. We spent eight wonderful years together and I know you will continue to make great television."

They're not dating

Finally, an antidote to those pesky sleepless nights spent tirelessly tossing and turning over the ultimate riddle: Are Ryan Reynolds and Olivia Wilde really a hot item?

Tongues have been wagging over a possible hookup after the pair were spotted together in New York City over the weekend.

But sources tell Radar Online otherwise.

"Ryan and Olivia are just friends," says the snitch, adding that the pair live close to each other, and have been close since working on The Change Up.

"They have been friends for a long time and are just hanging out together."

Which makes sense. After all, isn't Reynolds supposedly doing the wild thing with Sandra Bullock? I lose track.

As for Wilde, she was also recently linked to Renee Zellweger's ex, Bradley Cooper. Oh, and a slew of other fellas, including, Justin Timberlake, Ryan Gosling, Chris Pine ...

The Cowboys & Aliens star recently opened up to Allure magazine about the rumours surrounding her love life, and denied she's dated half of Hollywood.

She huffed: "In order to be dating all the people they think I am, I'd need four vaginas. It's impossible!"

* It's official: Glee star Lea Michele and her boyfriend of more than a year, Broadway actor Theo Stockman, have pulled the plug on their relationship. A rep for Michele confirmed the split: "This is not a dramatic breakup, the relationship just ran its course. They are still friends and will always be friends."

* Michelle Williams dreams of quitting acting. The star dishes in a new interview with Hobo Magazine that she's thought about "walking away and becoming a laundress or a sous chef or maybe writing other people's love letters for a living." Yep, she's thought that one through.

* Brad Pitt back-pedals...again. The Moneyball star clarifies those widely-panned comments he made about his "dull" marriage to Jennifer Aniston last week. It's not him, it's you. "People read things into it that just weren't there."

* Oscar bait: Check out Leonardo DiCaprio in the trailer for Clint Eastwood's highly anticipated biopic, J Edgar. The film, set for release in November, also stars Armie Hammer, Judi Dench, Naomi Watts, Josh Lucas and Ed Westwick.
