"I can watch them, but even some of them (the episodes) are a bit wonky," Parkinson said.
"It's like every scary movie...some of them you just want to edge away from and a 12-year-old doesn't want to see a three-year-old getting its throat slit."
Parkinson will soon appear on the silver screen in the Dwayne Johnson disaster movie San Andreas which was filmed in Queensland.
It also stars True Detective's Alexandra Daddario, Carla Gugino (Entourage, Californication) and Paul Giamatti (Sideways, Cinderella Man).
Parkinson was accompanied on the set of Game Of Thrones and San Andreas, on the Gold Coast, by his mother who is also his drama coach.
"My mum is always on set," Parkinson said.
"She coaches me and chaperones me as well. She always looks out and is helping me."
He said he had trouble getting a good night's sleep when he found out he would be appearing in San Andreas with man-mountain Johnson who was he knows mainly as the wrestler The Rock from WWE.
"I did have a recurring nightmare when I found out I got the movie and Dwayne was in it, that whenever I shook his hand that he would just lift me up and smash me back down," he said.
"To most kids he's a god and watching WWE...I just never thought I'd meet him."
* Season five of Game Of Thrones airs in New Zealand next week.
