WARNING: Spoilers
The dramatic trailer for episode two has been released by HBO afterthe season eight premiere on Monday — and it teased the long-awaited battle, showing Jon Snow, Tormund Giantsbane and the rest of the gang making preparations.
Tormund makes the grim estimation of the Night King's arrival after being asked by Jon: "How long do we have?"
The other major story set to unfold in episode two is Jaime Lannister, aka the Kingslayer, finally facing the music for all his past crimes.
Tormund is the bearer of bad news.
At the end of the first episode, Jaime arrived at Winterfell and came face-to-face with Bran Stark — the kid he once tried to kill by pushing out a window, rendering him unable to walk.
It's an incident that will be rehashed by the ruling family of the North — but they're not the only ones with a bone to pick.
Dany is set to grill Jaime.
In the clip, Daenarys Targaryen is also seen confronting Jaime over the murder of her father, King Aerys, the man for whom he was given his "Kingslayer" nickname.
Surrounded by the Starks and Jaime's brother Tyrion, Daenarys coldly tells Jaime: "When I was a child, my brother would tell me a bedtime story about the man who murdered our father, and all the things we would do to that man."
